It took me a week to write this review. I could not find the words to describe the experience that I had. I found two words. Osso Bucco! Falling of the bone, mouthwatering, scrumptous, delectable, delicioso. Whoops! That was 10 words. This meal could not be described in one or two words. They say food is breath. If your not eating, your not breathing. If this is the case, then the Osso Bucco deserves heavy breathing. It was pretty amazing. My eyes were way bigger than my stomach so I had the meatballs as well. Equally, incredible. The staff is polished and were there to cater to my high maintenance taste. The owner was more than cordial which made it evident why the staff was so polished. For those who do not know the area, it is a bit hidden but well worth the hunt.

We're visiting West Palm beach on vacation and decided to try this place out! The wait staff was great and really nice. The owner was also a very nice man. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was fantastic! Easily the best Italian food I've had in a while. I would eat there all the time if I could!

GREAT pizza. Crispy, delicious crust and just perfect. The antipasto salad was huge, service was great and very fast. We'll come back for sure!

What a disappointment! Not the food, not the service, not the ambiance.... it is a disappointment that we are visiting the area and don't know when we will be back! This place is heaven on earth!!! Our server was Danika, she was by far one of the friendlies most attentive servers we have ever had. We never had to look for her she anticipated our every need. THE PLACE: What a cute, rustic, inviting atmosphere. The open area dining was very welcoming. THE BEGINNING: We started with the spinach & cheese Burek... never heard of a Burek... but OMG was it good! Light and full of flavor. Our salads were a extremely fresh selection of greens with a perfect blend of dressing. THE MEAL: My amazing gf ordered one of the specials - eggplant rollatini. Eggplant lightly battered and rolled with mozzarella and rigotta cheese. The red sauce had to be fresh made as it exuded tremendous flavor. I am not a huge eggplant fan, but after trying it I wanted her dish. I ordered the clams over pasta - I love linguini and white clam sauce... I have had it at restaurants all over.. this had to be in the top 2 I have ever tasted. An amazing blend of white wine, cream, and a hint of lemon. THE FINALE: We had made a choice of the only dessert that would appropriately compliment this decadent meal... Nutella Crepes a la mode.... WOW! I will say that there is a slight wait for your food... with everything being made fresh to order - it is soooooooo worth the wait!

Giving hi 5 star to this beautiful restaurant. Great ambient, great staff, everybody is so nice. The food??? Oh let me start, wait where should I? We started with the White wine Mussels and the Fried Calamari, out of this world. Than I got the famous Veal Francese and my friend got the Osso Bucco and for a moment i thought I'm in some cosy ristorante in Tuscany. Adnan the Chef/Owner came to the table and after we asked him what is the secret of this phenomenal cooking, his answer was LOVE.... Lots of LOVE. Finished the night with Crepe Nutella and an espresso for complete satisfaction. I will definitely recommend this restaurant, this hidden gem to all my friends. Thank you Adnan for the great food experience

Wonderful, cosy, rustic and authentic Italian. Great service and great food. I had a Fettucine Alfredo - I've had this meal in dozens of italian restaurants, and this tasted far creamier and more luxurious than any others. Highly recommended!

Great service. Delicious food. Try the Burek! We had the meat ome, but I would try all of them. Good size portions and great atmosphere.

The food is amazing, the drinks, especially the Sangria are incredible and everyone there is so nice, If you are looking for great Oso Buco, or Lamb Shank, this place is it! If you are looking for Authentic Mediterranean, this is the place! The owner, the wait staff, the bartenders, everyone is professional, nice and very accommodating. For appetizers, you can not go wrong with the Burek, but everything is so fresh and so good. For a great meal and a wonderful night out, La Fontana is the place to go.

My family heard about this restaurant and figured that we should give it a try and we were so pleasantly surprised. We are all very familiar with Eastern European cuisine and La Fontana came to the plate. We had a 6 pm reservation and it was relatively quiet when we came in. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and would have requested to sit on the patio if it weren't so windy! Our server Danitza was prompt, polite and welcoming. She let us know it was happy hour and when my father in law asked if they had a specific beer, she recognized his accent and they were able to make small talk about their respective countries. She also offered us a few things that weren't on the menu and made us feel at home which was fantastic. The ambiance was nice and the seating was comfortable. We ordered a spread of many things off the menu. They brought out garlic rolls, we ordered Calamari and the Burek and they were both gone in what seemed like seconds! So good! The Cevapi (che-vah-pee) were smaller that what we were used to but did not lack in flavor! My husband and I ordered the Mixed Grill to share. It included Cevapi, Sudzukice, chicken breast and a Mediterranean burger and they were all delicious! The side of Ajvar was also really good and I would guess it was made in house. It's a red pepper spread with a little added spice. My sister got the Goulash and it was hot and flavorful! We got tiramisu and baklava for dessert and they did not disappoint! Our server was really the icing on the cake though, she made the night special and excelled at her service. It's also very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity! We all thoroughly enjoyed our night. Highly recommend! We will be back!

The actual restaurant is very pretty, the bruschetta was good ( not amazing ) , the garlic rolls were very rich and moist , we had ordered pita bread , but it never came , the eggplant parm had sauce that tasted like it came straight from the can , the chicken frances was like boiled chicken , not sure if it was chicken breast and the sauce was not good, the penne pasta sides came bare so that s hard to mess up. The waitress was very sweet , she realized we did not like our meals and told the manager and apologized numerous times! Sad to say that we will most likely not be going back . Shame it was a nice place.

Burek is my new favorite thing! The pizza was my favorite but now that I've tried the Balkan food, I'm in love! Also the service has always been good, everyone is always very sweet to me. Very nice family run place.

Very unique place with interesting Balkan food. Tried the meat platter and the hot dog looking meat was our favorite. (Can't remember name!). Really enjoyed the place and our server was very helpful. Noticed several people stopping by to pick up pizza to go... would def need to try the pizza on next visit. Try this place!

Excellent little restaurant! Try it once and you will go back. Everything is made fresh. It is an Italian Restaurant with a Bosnian twist. Dessert are outstanding! Price is very reasonable.

This place is authentic italian. My wife and I were visiting the area and came across this place by accident. Get the Penne with Vodka Sauce and add the meat balls. I promise you'll be satisfied!

The Balkan brandy was clearly watered down and they changed the price of the bottle of wine on us when we got the bill. In fact, the waiter gave us a price, billed us that price, then went to change the bill to add $5. Very unapologetic and simply unprofessional.

The gravy is about as good as it gets. The garlic knots were perfectly cooked and the garlic butter sauce was delicious. Pizza was good as well. Red wine was served a little too warm.

Visited for 1st time two weeks ago. Did not even know this restaurant was there! Had a great meal! EVERYTHING was very well prepared. Mussels Marinara - big Mussels, good red sauce, great portion, spiced it up for me just as I like. Wife had Osso Bucco and I tried some, it was as good as any around so no disappointments there. I had a veal florentine dish which I will return for. They through in a bottle of wine because we had 2 specials and the waitress was fabulous. Will update after we return in a week or two.

    Bosnian sausage Gyro. Very cool.

The veal was OK, but the Zuppe Peche was horrible. It was mostly cold shellfish on very tasteless pasta. The shellfish had been previously cooked and then stored in either the freezer or refrigerator. The red sauce had been watered and was tasteless. The first glass of wine we were served was like vinegar; it came from a bottle that had been open a very long time. The waiter offered nothing but the opportunity to order a glass of a different wine for the second glass.

This place is a gem and vaults to the top of both my wife and I's favorite places. It's a little hard to find, tucked away in the corner of shopping center off A1A just south of PGA. The menu is kind of a Balkan/Italian fusion and I encourage you to check out the Balkan dishes in the back of the menu. Our server was prompt and attentive and scored bonus points by recommending the Burek as an appetizer. The owner is Balkan and the Burek is old world awesome and can be made with a variety of fillings, we went with spinach and cheese and savored every bite. For main dishes I went with the seafood and pasta, which is not on the menu, another one I owe our waiter. It was wonderful. The wife went with ravioli which was smothered in cheese but still carried the taste. We both gave our meal high marks. The only ding, and I to really reach to find it, was the Parmesan cheese which came in a shaker. The decor is clean, comfortable and open, the service fast and friendly. LaFontana delivers white linen food at diner prices and a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. We will positively be back. Update: We did go back and it was just as good the second time. The really good news is La Fontana is tied with Stresa for the best spaghetti and meatballs in the county. Outstanding. Update 2: I had to knock a star off because of our experience tonight. It was a little disappointing and I had to be "that guy" and point out something that wasn't right with my food. I hate being that guy.

We love Balkan food! We have never eaten pizza or any of their Italian plates, we stick to their Balkan menu and that is exceptional. Burek, cevapi, kajmak.. That menu is delicious!

This is a great little restaurant hidden in the back of Crystal Tree Plaza. It's Italian with some Baltic dishes as well. The restaurant is intimate with a comfortable outside seating area. The service is friendly. We discovered this restaurant less than a month ago and have already been back about 5 times and brought two other couples. It's that good! We LOVE the Kayak Meza and the sausages are amazing. My mother had a salmon special one evening that she considered one of the best dishes she has ever had. So far, we have not been disappointed by any of the dishes we have had. It's not only good food but a good value, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is good not anything out of the ordinary prices are high $45.00 plus tip for watery lasagna and a order of spaghetti and meatballs and 2 small salads. Olive Garden is just as good for a lot less. Ok now this add on post is 2days later wife and I just got back from Tomatoes pizzeria and we had 1 order of spaghetti with meat sauce and 1 order spaghetti and meatballs 2 big salads 6 home made French bread rolls for $25.00 plus tip and it was great. My advise would be to forget about the overrated La Fontana's and go to Tomatoes pizzeria for a great meal.

I had the Balkan menu dishes: cevapi and Burek (spinach one.) The food was absolutely delicious! My mom ordered the garlic rolls and chicken cordon bleu and that was tasty!!! The chef came out to bring us some Meze to try and those were amazing (smoked beef.) A hidden gem off US1. Highly recommend!

Had the chicken cachitore and my wife had the chicken Marsala. Mediocre at best. A previous reviewer said it best. Comparable to Olive Garden but much pricier

We ordered two meals and an order of garlic rolls to-go. The garlic rolls were delicious, but the rest of the food and our subsequent service was awful. I ordered chicken Marsala. My "salad" came with one tomato slice and no salad dressing. The portion was abhorrent, as it was less than a full breast. The Marsala sauce tastes like nothing more than butter and cream, and not a hint of mushroom or Marsala wine. I couldn't eat it, but was willing to just take the cost hit assuming my partners Stromboli was good. But it took him five bites to get any amount of meat. And when he did, it had a very long black hair in it. At that point, we packed the food, got back in the car to drive back to the restaurant and request a refund. The manager was extremely rude, ignoring our attempts to talk to her until one of the chefs told her that we were waiting. When we told her about the hair, she took it and went to the kitchen telling them to make a new one without apologizing to us or even asking if that was what we wanted. Once again, someone had to tell her that we were trying to get her attention. When we told her we did not want another, just a refund, she flippantly said that this could happen at any restaurant. Again no apology. She then informed us that she could only refund the Stromboli, never asking if the rest of the food was acceptable or even acknowledging that we brought everything back with us. Awful customer service. While a bad meal or even hair in food is something I could have gotten over, disrespectful, unapologetic service is not.

I'm from Massachusetts and was down here on vacation and will come back next time I'm down here . The pizza was excellent as well as the other pasta dishes my friends ordered. The server, Santiago, was excellent. The environment was very relaxing.

Pizza was tasty. The garlic bread with cheese tasty. Hummus dry alitte bland. The Mediterranean meats mixed grill it was extremely tasteless and horrible. We ordered out and just had to throw that box away.

Just ate here for the first time. Service was great. Veal Marsala was delicious as was chicken piccata with capers. Clam chowder and pasta Fagioli reasonably priced as well. Enjoy the pizza and pastas they are well prepared and delicious. Don't miss the white pizza. Best in town I would recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend.

We were very impressed on our first visit, so four of us returned. The restaurant enjoys a large outdoor seating area that is nicely set back from the parking lot. The restaurant has an attractive bar area and the overall decor is very appealing. We arrived at 6:45 PM and were promptly informed that happy hour drink pricing (2 for one) was good until 7 PM, and we should put in our orders to make the deadline. My friend and I ordered the Zuppe di Pesce, one white, one red. We both loved our dinners. My friends wife had the Chicken Picatta. While she enjoyed it, she felt one of the medallions was a little funky, and didn't eat it. My wife had the Veal Marsala, and enjoyed it. Entrees come with a salad or soup, and the two for one wine pricing adds to the value here. Our bill came to only $48 a couple, pre tip...glad we came back, and will surely return.

This is by far the best pizza I had in south Florida since I moved here about 3 years ago. I've been trying to find a place comparable to up north and have to say I finally found it. If you can't find good pizza in palm beach gardens it's because you haven't been here yet.

My wife and I were visiting singer island and were looking for a good pizza/Italian place for dinner and tried la fontana based on yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. We got the house special pizza and the caprese salad. It was excellent. Service was good. Drink prices were reasonable for the area. We had the pistachio cheesecake which was to die for. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is THE PLACE for pizza. However last night I had dinner there and the chicken Marsala is to die for. Also on special was a seafood stew in red sauce that was the best I ever had. Fresh shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams and a large fish filet that melted in your mouth -served atop angel hair pasta. Violin music from a young man strolling the dining room added to the charm of the place. The bar was also busy and there is outside dining. Cannot wait to return. Danica gave us great service and we will ask for her on our next visit!

Just had the most delicious pizza here. Crispy, light, flavorful, perfect sauce and toppings: We will be back!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
